I am writing this to express our absolute shock and disappointment regarding the services provided by this funeral home following the passing of my partner’s grandmother. To say our experience was unacceptable would be an understatement; the complete lack of professionalism displayed by the staff turned an already painful day into a deeply distressing one for our family. When we arrived at the gravesite, it was immediately clear that nothing was ready. The burial site was entirely incorrect, and the staff were only just arriving, clearly having done no preparation for the service we were there to hold. What followed was beyond disrespectful. During the chaotic scramble to fix their mistake and move everything to the correct grave, staff knocked over a very expensive flower arrangement and proceeded to trample it. When we expressed our hurt and frustration, asking for an apology or at least an acknowledgment of the damage, we were met with nothing but eye-rolls and scoffing. The lack of basic empathy and common decency from this team is appalling. We felt completely disrespected at every turn, and their dismissive attitude toward a grieving family is something I would not wish upon

After the loss of our mother, we had nothing but exceptional and compassionate service from Wood Funeral Home. From out-of-state transportation arrangements, the service they provided, and the viewing and service itself. They offered many different options of caskets and were very patient in letting us make decisions. Jordan and the rest of the staff supported us along the way. Even though it was a sad time, the care and compassion along the way made the process much easier.

Wood Funeral Home was the only place I trusted when my Mother passed away. They truly surprised me with the level of detail and love they shared with our family. It was like we were a part of the Wood family! I was lost, but they guided me through some of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. I’ll recommended and use them as long as I am around. Every member of their team was truly helpful and kind.

I never thought I’d leave a bad review for a funeral home, but here we are. My best friend just had a funeral for her grandmother and wood funeral homes made it a horrible experience. First they had the wrong grave. The vault was actually placed in the wrong grave. When things were being moved, her large flower arrangement was upside down trampled on and destroyed. No one took accountability or apologized. I am still in shock over everything that happened today.

I highly recommend Wood Funeral Home, they are very organized, they make a very difficult time way easier to get through. They are compassionate and kind and go above and beyond to help make the funeral planning process as easy as possible. I can't thank them enough for being so helpful and doing such a great job!

We turn to Wood Funeral Home each time we need to say goodbye to a loved one. They are amazing. We have always been treated with respect and caring. They feel like family. They help us through the entire process so smoothly. They show so much compassion while they help us maneuver the many decisions needed to complete this final stage. I can not imagine working with anyone else.

It's been almost a year since my mother passed and I was thinking about what an outstanding and professional job Wood Funeral Home did. There are so many details involved in the process and they were on top of it all and facilitated it all. I was so impressed they came all the way down to Bear Lake for the internment--what a long day for them but they were so kind and helpful. My Dad passed 18 years ago and they were amazing to work with then, too. The community is very fortunate to have Wood Funeral.
